These setup instructions are just a guide. Most of us have setup tents before so it should be intuitive. As always, there's more than one correct way. Find what works best for you and your situation. It is strongly recommended that you perform an initial setup in your yard or garage to familiarize yourself with the design before heading out into the elements.
STEP BY STEP SETUP
1. Unclip the straps on the footprint pouch.
2. Identify the main fly (slate color with clear door), internal canopy (yellow color), small secondary fly (slate color), and attic (mesh).
3. Open accessory pouch and identify two 1/2” gold poles, one 3/8” gold pole, and two 3/8” silver poles.
4. Extend the two 1/2” gold poles, insert them into the corner slots of the fly and clip to the fly.
5. Extend the one 3/8” gold pole and insert it into the center (side to side) slot of the fly. Make sure it sits under the other two gold poles and clip it to the fly.
6. Large center clip at top of fly will accommodate all gold poles.
7. Extend the two 3/8” silver poles, insert the ends into the fly in the outer two center slots running them on top of the gold poles, and clip to the fly. Large front and back clips at pole intersection will accommodate both poles.
8. Attach internal reflective tensioner straps at the front, center and back of the fly. Adjust accordingly.
9. Attach inner canopy to the fly via ceiling toggle hooks, ensuring the shorter side lines up with the back.
10. Attach smaller secondary fly over the top of the main fly by aligning the Ankhiale logos and then secure via elastic hooks and black loops located on the middle clip assembly of the gold poles.
11. Attach mesh attic inside canopy via ceiling clips.
12. Set external guy lines as needed for stability.
13. If using a stove, you will need to cut an opening in the stove jack.
14. Enjoy your new outdoor abode!
Another one of the great features of the Zeta 1 is that once you set it up the first time, you can leave the fly, canopy, and footprint attached to each other when breaking camp. They can all be rolled up into the footprint and then secured with the straps and clips attached to the accessory pouch. See the Pack-up video below!
Kyle explains how the entire tent can be rolled up into the footprint and secured with the straps on the accessory pouch.
