Engineered for Extreme Exposure
Cold environments reveal structural weakness quickly. The Zeta 1 Expedition Hot Tent was designed around load disitribution, thermal retention, and functional entry protection.
Structural Integrity
Structural Integrity
The multi-intersection geodesic pole system distributes wind load across the frame, increasing rigidity under sustained 50-60 mph exposure.
Thermal Performance
Thermal Performance
The silver mylar interior reflects radiant heat inward, reducing heat loss during sub-zero conditions.
Field-tested down to -30°F.
Base Camp Funcitonality
Base Camp Funcitonality
The clear front vestibule provides protected staging, light penetration, and wind buffering during extended winter deployment.

Cold-Weather Questions Answered
Cold-Weather Questions Answered
Is this a true 4-season tent?
Yes. The Zeta 1 Expedition Tent was engineered specifically for sub-zero temperatures and sustained high-wind exposure. With mesh doors and 6 vents, this can also be used in warmer conditions. The silver mylar actually helps to keep the interior cooler in the summer, and the inner tent's "blackout" feature will help you sleep through longer daylight times of year.
Is it suitable for extended hunting or trapping base camps?
Yes. Its geodesic structure, lower weight, and thermal lining make it well-suited for multi-day winter deployment in remote environments.
How does the silver mylar lining improve warmth?
The reflective interior surface reduces radiant heat loss by directing body or stove heat back inward. This improves heat retention during extreme sub-zero conditions.
How difficult is setup?
The geodesic structure increases stability through multiple pole intersections. While more robust than lightweight 3-season tents, it is designed for efficient field deployment.
What is your return and warranty policy?
We offer 30-day returns on unused products and a 1-year warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you have a problem, we'll do our best to resolve. You are the most important part of our business.
Is this tent overbuilt for mild-climates?
This tent was designed for severe winter conditions. For moderate environments, lighter alternatives may be more appropriate. However, the Zeta is acceptable to use in all 4-seasons.
